More manicure miracles

You may recall my discovery of Sephora’s nail films a few months ago. Well recently I’ve been eying a similar product from Sally Hansen. Here are the results, though on slightly stubby nails. (I’ve been working with my hands a lot recently which has caused some breakage.)
There are a few differences between these and Sephora’s films. These are essentially stretchy, tacky, oblong pieces of nearly dry nail polish, whereas the films were like mylar with an adhesive backing. These even look and smell like polish and are removed with polish remover. Therefore they are thinner and will not split into multiple layers that will peel apart in a couple days. The package claims these will last up to 10 days. I’ll get back to you on that. At $9.95, they are a more economical option and I like that they come with a combination file and buffer as well as a cuticle stick. More bang for your buck. The strips also come in a wider range of colors and patterns than Sephora’s films. The only area in which these are slightly inferior to Sephora’s product is in application. It’s a little tricky to get them placed correctly. And the first two that I applied ended up with a few air bubbles trapped under the strip. But with a little practice, I’ll get it down. The next color I want to try is a multi-colored glitter called “Frock Star.”
Good product, Sally.
